"Introduction to Game Research Methods" is a foundational course, providing a comprehensive introduction to the essential research techniques and methodologies that underpin academic and industry-oriented game research. Throughout this course, you'll gain a deep understanding of the diverse methods used to investigate and analyze video games, game cultures, the game development industry and related topics. We'll explore qualitative and quantitative research approaches, as well as the ethical considerations that underlie game-related research. You'll learn how to design and conduct effective surveys, interviews, and experiments, while also examining case study methods for in-depth analysis.
