This course covers the mathematics used in everyday business and accounting. Among the topics included are: fractions and decimals, the use of algebraic equations, percents and their applications, sales and trade discounts, markup, payroll, checking accounts, simple and compound interest, discounting of notes, present value, taxes, and business statistics. A grade of C- or better in BUS 1101 will meet Math Competency.
