Building upon the foundational knowledge gained in the introductory GIS course, this semester-long program immerses students in a comprehensive exploration of advanced concepts and practical applications using ArcGIS Pro. From mastering the art of cartography and map design, where students craft captivating maps, to delving into cutting-edge techniques in remote sensing and data acquisition, the course empowers learners with the skills needed to analyze spatial data with precision. The unique blend of hands-on exercises, real-world projects, and in-depth discussions on spatial problems and analysis ensures that students not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also develop a profound understanding of how to address complex spatial challenges. Through a dynamic curriculum spanning two weeks each for Cartography and Spatial Problems and Analysis, and three weeks for Data Acquisition and Management and Remote Sensing, students will culminate their learning journey with a comprehensive final project, showcasing their proficiency in harnessing the power of GIS for impactful spatial solutions.
