This course examines LGBTQ+ representation on television from the 1950s to today. The course analyzes the portrayal of LGBTQ+ identities and themes in television dramas, sitcoms, commercials, unscripted programming, and the news. The course also explores the progression of broadcast network policies and standards as they relate to LGBTQ+ themes and identities.
