This course explores the intersection of gender and sport, examining how cultural, social, and historical factors shape our understanding of gender within the context of sports. Students will critically analyze issues such as representation, stereotypes, access, and participation in sports, as well as the impact of gender on athletic performance and the sports industry. The course will also explore the role of activism and policies in promoting gender equity in sports. Prerequisite: PSYC 111 or SOSC 111
