Take your class online with SUNY
You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students
This course will facilitate a critical examination of the theory and practice of building personal, interpersonal, and organizational capacity to improve the effectiveness of individual educators and schools as learning organization and professional learning communities, particular when fiscal and human resources are compromised. Theory, case studies and practical work will be used to help aspiring school and district leaders develop a vision of meaningful and effective teacher and organizational learning and a knowledge of strategies and conditions for creating, supporting, nurturing and sustaining the individual and collaborative work of the school and district staff. This vision will be grounded in a conception of how teachers learn, and how schools and districts as organizations affect, and are affected by, student achievement and change.
