You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students
Survey of the major plant species of local freshwater wetlands, and methods for delineation under current State and Federal criteria. Extensive field trips include natural bogs, marshes, flood plains, as well as constructed or managed wetlands of the central NY region. Current papers from the literature of wetland management and ecology will be discussed in seminar format. Graduate students will compile a collection of study specimens to augment the field station herbarium. Students must be able to hike through difficult terrain.
