This course provides an introduction to computer programming and its applications for industrial and systems engineering (ISE) students emphasizing modern software engineering techniques in the context of industrial systems. Topics will include the fundamental concepts and applications of computer programming, software engineering, database management, computational problem solving, and statistical techniques for data mining. In this course, programming languages such as Python, VB.Net, or Matlab will be taught along with Excel VBA and SQL. Students will learn how to apply computer-programming techniques to solve different ISE problems.
