This introductory course will explore the many philosophical and methodological questions which emerge from the study of philosophy of religion. Topics will include the nature of religious subjectivity, divinity, prayer, sacrifice, and faith. Some of the basic questions include: What is God? How do we know about God? What is the relationship between religion and ethics? Why do bad things happen to good people? Is God good? What is faith? And so on.
