This seminar offers an in-depth exploration of severe mental illnesses (e.g., schizophrenia spectrum disorders, etc.). This course will examine the biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to these conditions, as well as current diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Students will review recent research on understanding biological mechanisms underlying these disorders and consider emerging directions in treatment to improve patient outcomes.
