Take your class online with SUNY
You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students
Oftentimes, we are convinced by more than just the written word; we use our senses to make decisions every day in our life. Maybe on garbage day, you would choose to walk out the back door of your apartment instead of the front to avoid the smell. Perhaps you choose to go to the theater to see horror movies for the intense sensory experience instead of watching them from home. You might choose to take the subway home instead of the bus because of movement and motion sickness. In this class, we will study the senses in terms of persuasion. This class will "write across the curriculum," meaning it will employ several academic areas of interest, including science, sociology, and art. Texts include Where We Meet the World. Films include Inside Out 2.
