Catalog Course Description
Students study systems analysis, design, development, and implementation of computer information systems. The class covers all phases of the computer information system life cycle: analysis techniques, design techniques, resource acquisition, application development, system implementation, and ongoing maintenance procedures. Pre-requisite: CPT 1301 Logic and Problem Solving with C++ or Permission of Instructor.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Describe the fundamental systems development life cycle (SDLC) and its four phases. 2. Demonstrate the process of feasibility analysis. 3. Create data flow and entity-relationship diagrams to model information systems.
