Catalog Course Description
Students examine the development of the United States from the Civil War period to 1940. The course includes an examination of the contribution of the rich, diverse and ever changing demographic within an expanding and complex industrial economy and growing role in world affairs.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
1. Compare and contrast the experiences of various groups of people and political parties in U.S. history from 1860-1940.
2. Students will demonstrate the ability to locate, evaluate and apply research information by writing or creating a historical research project.
