In the last two centuries, the global community has developed in ways (urbanization, climate change, travel, trade) which can increase the risk for disease outbreaks, epidemics, and pandemics. The public health knowledge base on these and other health hazards (e.g., bioterrorism) Is continually developing. This course will guide students through an exploration of various health-related topics, focusing on pandemics (e.g., COVID-19, H1 N1), with an understanding of public health emergency preparedness and response.
