This course introduces the quantitative analysis of natural and engineered systems in the context of environmental engineering. Basic concepts include mass, energy, and number balances and risk. Applications include water pollution and treatment, air pollution and its control, solid waste management, sustainability, and global climate change.
Prerequisites:
CHE 101 or CHE 105 or CHE 107; School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Environmental Sciences Majors Only.
