Whether pursuing careers or simply seeking to enhance their personal relationships, students will emerge from this course with a deeper appreciation for the fundamental role of marriage and family in shaping individual well-being and societal cohesion. Grounded in both theoretical frameworks and practical applications, students will analyze the family as an evolving social institution. Topics include: cultural variations in family dynamics, analysis of social class and gender roles, love and marriage, divorce, and future family trends. Emphasis will be placed on critical thinking, self-reflection, and the application of course concepts to real-life situations.
