Students receiving credit for PED 201 will not receive credit for HED 201. The focus of this course is on the essential behavior necessary for a healthy lifestyle. Included is the opportunity to evaluate and improve physical as well as emotional well being in light of the most current information available in each topic. The student is presented with strategies that have proven successful in moderating individual behavior. Topics that deal with improving the physical health level include physical fitness, weight control and nutrition, while topics that explore the development of positive mental and emotional health and stress management, intimate personal relationships and human sexuality.
