Prerequisites: A minimum grade of C in ACC 101
This course reviews the variety of ways in which healthcare is reimbursed as it pertains to the financial analysis and decision making required by healthcare administrators. Changes to reimbursement methodologies and payment systems, including Medicare, regulation of managed care, public policy and formation of integrated delivery systems is reviewed. Responsibilities and issues faced by healthcare administrators regarding delivering and financing healthcare is discussed.
