A study of the major literary trends prevailing in Spain from the beginnings of the 19th century to the late 20th century: Romanticism, Realism, Naturalism, the "Generation of '27", the era known as "la postguerra" and postmodernism. Representative works of poetry and prose will serve as an illustration of the historical, social, and artistic issues characteristic of each period. Offered periodically.
