The student interns for 90 hours in a community health agency or health organization, with prior approval of the instructor. This course provides an opportunity for students to integrate classroom learning with practical work experience. Depending on their interests, students work in a wide?variety of health settings. For example, students may assess community health needs and contribute to health-equity focused interventions in health care delivery systems. Students meet regularly to discuss their experiences, maintain a log of their activities, and write a final paper describing the agency, summarizing their work, and reflecting on their future career goals
