The goal of this course is to provide an introduction to international business environment and operations. The course emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to the field and concentrates on how cultural factors influence behavior and the skills and processes of analysis necessary to work effectively across national borders. The course analyzes the social and political forces shaping multinational business' activities abroad and uses several models to understand cultural differences. An analysis of how cultural factors influence and effect decision making and organizational culture in a global context are the major thrusts of this course. Offered every semester. (Course formerly offered as BU5140).
