Farm Animal Nursing lecture course familiarizes students with skills and knowledge necessary to work with farm animals. Students will learn a wide variety of topics including reproduction, nutrition, immunology, biosecurity as it pertains to farm animals. Students will also learn the most commonly encountered diseases of farm animals with particular emphasis on zoonotic diseases. Additionally, students will learn the common skills for diagnosing and treating farm animals, which will prepare them for the laboratory course. Prerequisites: VETS 183 and BIOL 230 and [CHEM 120 or CHEM 180] with a grade of C or better Corequisite: VETS 235 (2:2,0)
