This course introduces the student to comparative politics, one of the four (4) sub-fields in political science. As a field of study, comparative politics focuses on the diversity of political systems around the world. The field therefore encompasses a diverse array of topics, from competing forms of democracy to the nature of economic development. In this course, we will explore the political diversity of the world through a series of theoretically-informed case studies.
