Elementary Italian I is the first semester of a one year course in the Italian language. The course provides the student with practical vocabulary as well as basic grammatical/structural concepts. The focus is on developing the four communication skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Cultural discussions are an integral part of the course, with the aim of getting a glimpse of Italy's way of life, and gaining some knowledge about its history, geography, and major cities.
