This course provides fundamental experience in mathematics pedagogy as described by current research and practice. Aligned with the standards for mathematical practice outlined in the New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards, it will focus on building a foundation for the teaching and learning of elementary school mathematics. Includes 50 hours minimum of field experience consistent with the policies of the Office of Clinical Practice. EDU508 can be taken previously or concurrently. Cannot be taken in same semester as EDU5190.
