First part of communication-based foundation course. Students focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish in and out of class. Students explore the Spanish language and culture through (short)film, music, and images in a variety of interactive activities. PREREQUISITE: No previous training in Spanish or maximum of one year in High School. Not open to heritage or native speakers. Please consult the department's language placement guidelines found at https://www.binghamton.edu/romance/resources/placement-guidelines.html . Students may be removed from this course if they exceed the appropriate level of experience. Offered regularly. 4 credits
