This course asks students to produce their own travelogue and situate it within the shifting conventions of the travel writing genre. Because this course is online asynchronous, students can write their travelogue about the town in which they reside during winter 2026 (e.g. their hometown or Binghamton). Major writing assignments include three reading analyses as well as a restaurant review, a nature review. and an art gallery/museum/concert review.
