Catalog Course Description
Students are introduced to client-side and server-side development of web page pages using scripting Languages. Students will cover topics including general concepts, terminology, and best practices for creating websites and web applications. Assignments provide experience in the use of the scripting programming languages utilized to create web pages. This is a project-based course. Pre-requisites CPT 1318 Web Design with HTML and CSS or permission of instructor.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate a basic knowledge of scripting coding for the web.
2. Create dynamic web pages utilizing client-side scripting in a contemporary language.
3. Create dynamic web pages utilizing server-side scripting in a contemporary language.
