Catalog Course Description
Students learn the fundamentals of data structures and software modeling using the Java programming language and related frameworks. Topics include: implementation and use of recursion, stacks, queues, linked lists, and binary trees. Pre-requisite: CPT 2226 Object-Oriented Programming or permission of instructor.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Design and illustrate dynamic data structures and abstract data types.
2. Understand, implement, and apply various data structure algorithms.
3. Understand, implement, and apply advanced sorting and searching algorithms.
