Catalog Course Description
Students examine the short story as a tradition and as a mode of contemporary fiction.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Read, analyze, and conduct research on works of short fiction.
2. Critically consider texts by taking quizzes and exams and crafting creative responses.
3. Discover that reading and writing are reciprocal, interactive processes.
4. Engage in online debates and discussions in order to evaluate assigned texts.
