This section of ENGL 101 considers the development of and the literary techniques associated with the short story form. We will examine how the works function as literary narrative, paying special attention to the limitations-and perhaps strengths-attributed to this condensed form. Central to our analysis are introductory narratological concepts and their subsequent implications. This course fulfills the GLOBE/Connected World "Creativity and Innovation" requirement.
