This course introduces basic concepts and practices of records management in different organizations or environments. It will include those areas of communication, administration and technology that relate to the efficient and effective flow of information from its generation to its final disposition. Topics that will be discussed in this course include life cycle of records, active and inactive records control, records appraisal and retention schedule, vital records protection, information risk management, authenticity and integrity of records, records management standards, and legal and ethical aspects of record management.
