This hybrid course will focus on health assessment and health promotion/disease prevention. The course will allow for further development in existing physical assessment skills. In addition, there will be a focus on critical thinking, culturally sensitive clinical decisions, therapeutic interventions, promotion of self-care, and achievement of desired health promotion and prevention outcomes. Various aspects of population health will be applied. Lab: students address these aspects of the course through case studies in self-directed, computer-based simulated sessions. Prerequisite(s): restricted to Nursing BS Completion majors or by permission of department.
