The heart of every organization is its operations. This course examines the concepts and techniques needed to recognize and actively participate in operations management, a body of knowledge dedicated to the creation of value for clients, customers, and society. Learning the tactics of business operations enables someone to ¿join the action¿ in contributing to both the daily and long-term success of a business endeavor. Topics will include estimating capacity, identifying bottlenecks, productivity improvement methods, development of quality assurance systems and configuration of supply chains. Operations Basics will help the life science manager understand the role of Operations Management in a life science company.
