The course will provide an overview of the legal issues facing life science entrepreneurs and startups. Students will be introduced to the challenges confronted by start-ups and early stage high-growth ventures. The course topics will include entity selection and formation, securities/financing legal issues, tax considerations, common legal missteps, equity incentive plans, governance considerations, and the challenges facing women and minority founders.
