									This course introduces the fundamental principles of  chemistry: structure and states of matter, chemical changes  and stoichiometry, solutions and colloids, acids and bases,  and oxidation-reduction.  (NS)  Prerequisite: MATH 128 or higher with a grade of C or better  or math placement of 0M2, 0M3, 0M4, or instructor approval.  (4: 3, 3)
