The course will introduce health analytics concepts and techniques, including applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). The course will also examine the ethical and societal implications of AI/ML and related innovations in data analytics. Examples and case studies will emphasize applications in medicine and public health, including discussions of how to safeguard the privacy and security of health-related data. We will use R as the primary statistical software and discuss best practices in R programming.
