Intelligent systems have made a significant impact in fields like medicine and biology through their ability to expand human information processing abilities to infinity and to learn from Big data. This course gives students methods and skills to use and integrate computational intelligence systems in professional settings for decision support in diagnostic tasks, treatment planning, long-term follow-up, monitoring, quality control and insurance, preventative care and maintenance, and education. The course presents AI and machine learning approaches to leverage data with descriptive, predictive and prescriptive tools, and to gain the insight needed to guide decision making.
