Designed to help adults begin to understand the developmental needs of infants and toddlers. The social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of children from birth to age 3 are examined. Students apply the work of major theorists and researchers to actual observations of children and their implications for appropriate child care. Completion of weekly observation and fieldwork participation hours are required.
