A lecture-based discussion on the principles and concepts involved in cardiovascular and resistance training for the general population. Discussions include program development, the cardiovascular system, the muscular system, resistance exercises on different muscle groups, developing individual exercise programs, safety tips, and body mechanics. An introduction to human anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics will be discussed.
