This course presents an in-depth study of the managerial concepts that are implemented in collegiate and professional sports. The sports industry is now one of the fastest-growing business sectors worldwide and this course will provide students with insight into the strategies and planning that is needed to manage sporting events, arenas/facilities, team salaries, and professional athletes. Students will study the managerial behaviors that exist in these areas of the sports industry and will understand the elements that are necessary in order for a manager to be successful.
