A study of world-wide human food habits involving the examination of such factors as food sources, geography, religion, historical development, and socio-economic status. Optional: During this course, students can participate in two to three online cooking sessions, where they will prepare selected food items learned throughout the course. Each session will require access to a basic kitchen setup and commonly available utensils—no specialized equipment is needed. Students will need to purchase ingredients for each activity, with an estimated total cost of $10–$20.
