You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students

You may find yourself pondering many questions when you're alone. Some of these are closely tied to your life, such as: Can I decide what to believe? Can I justifiably make a choice between being a lawyer and being a philosopher? What reasons do I have to convince myself to try durian for the first time? Why 2 plus 3 must equal 5? Others seem far removed from daily life, such as: Do animals have consciousness? Does God exist? Is it possible for me to travel to the past and kill my grandfather? You might also care about different people, friends or strangers, and wonder: Should we believe in our friends even what they've said seems unbelievable? What is neurodiversity? In this course, we will seize these moments of curiosity and seek inspiration from philosophical texts in various branches of contemporary analytic philosophy, such as epistemology, philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and ethics. Drawing from everyday intuitions, we will aim to develop our own philosophical perspectives. Additionally, you will cultivate critical thinking skills and enhance your reading and writing abilities throughout the course.
