This graduate-level elective examines the physiological, psychological, and social dimensions of health, fitness, and aging across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based exercise science, chronic disease prevention, functional health, and culturally responsive health promotion strategies. Students evaluate research, apply public health guidelines, and design lifespan-oriented interventions that promote functional independence and quality of life. Aligned with CEHHS’s Conceptual Framework, Weaving a Transformative School Fabric, the course advances Authentic Learning, Social Justice, Knowledge, Practice, Reflection, Collaboration, and Leadership.
