Take your class online with SUNY
You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students
This online creative writing course is recommended for students eager to extend their knowledge and experience of poetry. Our focus is the subject of place-the borders of exterior / interior or real / imagined settings-and exploring the influence of where we live (or have lived in the past) on who we are, how we perceive the world, and the ways in which specific, evocative environments nestle in one's own poetry. In addition to published works-a variety of models that will inspire and involve you more deeply with the expressive power and possibilities inherent in the genre-the aim of this class is to strengthen your voice and your vision on the page.
