This course will be an introduction to the effects of drugs on the individual, their brain, and society. We will discuss several types of drugs, both licit and illicit, in terms of their use, mechanisms, cultural history and evolution. Special topics include drug costs and mental health, media and drugs, and preclinical models of addiction.
Prerequisites:
Basic Requirements in PSYC score is at least 1
