Introduces management and planning concepts and their application to the health field. Attention is maid to system-wide considerations. e.g., methods of health care regulation and cost containment, as well as to techniques and concepts used in managing health care organizations. Managerial and regulatory processes are emphasized. Students are encouraged to relate organizational capabilities to the larger social, political, and economic environment.
