You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students

This course focuses on the development of young children from birth through eight years of age, their phases of learning, their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth, character development, individual differences, interests, attention, potential challenges, and motivation. Candidates will understand how these aspects of human growth and development relate and influence the teaching/learning process and the way in which we support families. In this course, candidates will also have the opportunity to conduct a series of systematic observations on students of various age groups and in different settings as part of an advanced field component experience. The field experience in this course will include a sequential-cohort observation that will culminate in an analysis of observations and a formal report and presentation.
