Students will acquire intermediate American SignLanguage (ASL) vocabulary and grammar skills thatwill enable them to effectively communicate incommon and/or routine social interactions with aDeaf person. Conversational and narrative topicsinclude but are not limited to the following:errands around town, monetary transactions,locating objects, weather and emergencies, eventsand trips, and future career plans. Students willalso further develop insight and understanding ofthe Deaf culture and community through explorationand comparing with their own culture andexperiences.
Prerequisites:
ASL 102 or permission of instructor.
