This course offers students an overview of therole of technology in society and provides anintroduction to digital and informationtechnologies, concepts, and terminologies. Discussions of the Community, Legal, and Ethicalissues related to digital devices and theInternet are integral to the nature of thiscourse. This course provides students withopportunities to develop research and criticalthinking skills, and will introduce students tocontinuously evolving and emerging digitaltechnologies and their effects on society. Students will demonstrate the skills needed to bean informed digital citizen, achieve academic andworkplace success, and participate in anincreasingly globalized environment. Studentswill use web applications, word-processing,spreadsheet, database, presentation, and othersoftware, as applicable, to learn, search andorganize their research, and then present andcommunicate their findings.
